Why I entered the cardiology field:
My undergraduate major was biomedical engineering. Many of the courses dealt with cardiac function and physiology. My first job out of college was working in a busy electrophysiology laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. So I knew my choice of specialty before I even started medical school.
Why I chose The Medical Center of Plano:
I was recruited to re-establish the hospital's electrophysiology program, which had undergone dramatic change before I arrived. HeartPlace has a large presence at this hospital and provides its physicians the sub-specialty care that their wonderful patients deserve. The hospital offers a fantastic work environment with outstanding physicians and nurses.
What I enjoy most about my work here:
Undoubtedly, the clinical nursing staff here is superior to any hospital I have ever worked at. There is a lot of employee pride, and people care dearly about their work. The experience of the staff makes life for patients and physicians alike very easy.
